HCII2020 UPDATE WITH RESPECT TO COVID-19

The world is going through an unprecedented period of hardship and uncertainty as a result of the outbreak of the corona virus COVID-19 pandemic and our thoughts are with those affected. It was not possible for the HCII2020 conference to escape the consequences of the counter-measures taken to avoid the spread of the disease.

As a result of the Danish government's announcement, dated 21 April 2020, to ban all large events (above 500 participants) until the 1st of September, the HCII2020 conference cannot be held physically.

Overcoming challenges and difficulties, we are already working in order to transform the HCII2020 Conference in a virtual format aiming to give the opportunity to our authors to present their work and exchange ideas, also using one of the widely used commercially available platforms. Detailed announcements regarding this ‘digital transformation’ of the conference will be made soon through the conference website as well as via email communications to all registered participants.

The conference proceedings will be published by Springer exactly as scheduled with most of the volumes to appear just before the planned start of the conference. “Late Breaking Papers” and “Late Breaking Posters” volumes will appear after the conference and will be an integral part of the entire set of volumes of the proceedings.

Appropriate registration fee reimbursements have been offered to all participants registered before 26 April. If, inadvertently, you have not received such an email by the HCII2020 Conference Registration Administration, please contact: registration@hcii2020.org
