The world is going through an unprecedented period of hardship and uncertainty as a result of the outbreak of the corona virus COVID-19 pandemic and our thoughts are with those affected. It was not possible for the HCII2020 conference to escape the consequences of the counter-measures taken to avoid the spread of the disease.
As a result of the Danish government's announcement, dated 21 April 2020, to ban all large events (above 500 participants) until the 1st of September, the HCII2020 conference cannot be held physically.
Overcoming challenges and difficulties, we are already working in order to transform the HCII2020 Conference in a virtual format aiming to give the opportunity to our authors to present their work and exchange ideas, also using one of the widely used commercially available platforms. Detailed announcements regarding this ‘digital transformation’ of the conference will be made soon through the conference website as well as via email communications to all registered participants.
The conference proceedings will be published by Springer exactly as scheduled and will appear just before the planned start of the conference.
There is still plenty of time for prospective conference participants to submit their ‘Late Breaking Papers’ and 'Late Breaking Posters' to be considered, following peer review, for on-line presentation and for publication in the ‘Late Breaking Work’ volumes of the Springer proceedings to appear just after the conference.
Appropriate registration fee refunds will be offered and all registered participants will very soon receive detailed information via email. If, inadvertently, you do not receive such an email by the HCII2020 Conference Registration Administration by the end of April, at the very latest, then please contact: email@example.com
